Platform Purpose
The OutageBoard is an industrial hiring platform built to help workers and contractors connect around jobs, crew calls, outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance work, road crews, rigging needs, equipment operator roles, and related industrial opportunities.
Worker Accounts
Workers are responsible for keeping their profile information, work history, trade or role, location, travel availability, certifications, and application information accurate. Workers should only apply to opportunities they are genuinely interested in and qualified to pursue.
Contractor Accounts
Contractors, companies, staffing agencies, and hiring teams are responsible for posting accurate job and crew call information. This includes location, trade or role needed, pay details, per diem information, schedule, project details, and posting status.
No Guarantee of Employment
The OutageBoard helps connect workers and hiring teams, but we do not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, contractor responses, worker availability, or hiring outcomes.
User Responsibilities
Users agree not to submit false, misleading, abusive, unlawful, discriminatory, spam, or harmful content. Users also agree not to misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with platform operation, or use information from the platform for improper purposes.
Hiring Decisions
Contractors and companies are responsible for their own hiring decisions, screening, compliance, licensing, safety requirements, onboarding, pay agreements, tax obligations, and employment or contractor relationships.
Certifications and Documents
Workers may upload certification details or proof files. Users are responsible for making sure any information they upload is accurate and that they have the right to share it.
Platform Availability
We work to keep The OutageBoard available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be updated, changed, paused, or unavailable at times for maintenance, improvements, or technical reasons.
Account Suspension or Removal
We may restrict, suspend, or remove accounts, postings, or content that appear to violate these terms, harm users, create security risks, or misuse the platform.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use as The OutageBoard grows. When changes are made, we may update the date shown at the top of this page.
